Action Protocol in Suspected Cases of Ebola Virus Disease
The protocol governs the action that should be taken by the healthcare professionals involved in managing suspected cases of Ebola. On 10 October 2014, the Inter-regional Health Council approved two amendments to the current protocol:
- Monitoring of people who come into direct contact with Ebola patients is stepped up, including healthcare professionals.
- The body temperature threshold for someone who has come into direct contact with an Ebola patient to be considered a case under investigation is amended. This threshold is changed to 37.7ºC.
The Action Protocol can be consulted on the website of the Ministry of Health. Download it here.
The website of the Ministry of Health also contains other protocols and information on the Ebola virus disease for professionals. Consult this information here.
